And the Rest of His Ilk by Scott Thomas Outlar

I became sick of nihilism
playing the standard-bearer
on the weeping willow scene
of hardcore apathy

so I went all lovey-dovey
in your face like a firecracker

just to watch explosions ignite
behind busted eyelids
in an orgasmic symphony
to get my kicks
as cynicism died
with a hard left fall from the stage

I kissed your caramel center
while carefully caressing a stroke
upon precious golden flesh
as all the rest
of the rotting bones
from that boring bullshit
turned to ash
without a hint of evolution
urging on their process

Now we kiss-kiss
a passionate peace pact
to keep the war drums of failure
far out of sight
as the horses collapse
in the streets of destiny
with a whipped spanking
for Nietzsche
folding old hands
while the rest of us rise
