At the Theater by Karlo Sevilla

Stealthily,
she raises
index finger
to wipe away
the welling
teardrop, but it
preemptively
scurries down
the bark
of her cheek.
I pretend
not to see,
and looks
straight ahead
at the movie
starring her
and me.
