Go Figure by Ryan Quinn Flanagan

The major league pitcher
sported a 2-12 record
for the season
with an ERA
over 12.00.

His slider hung over the plate
his change-up tended to drift
his fastball was
non-existent.

He was coming off torn
rotator cuff surgery
and had twice as many walks
as strikeouts.

He’d barely made it out the first
in his last outing.

I saw on the sports ticker
today
that they just signed him
to a three year contract
extension

at 6 million
a year.

Money
well spent.
