She Knew the Truth, Seek the Answers
Sandra Bland was a regular voice in this age, had open opinions about racism and other topics across social media, where she forever resides, spoke of the noose, a symbol of brutality, that claimed her.
She was 28-years-old with natural hair, spoke about the “Black Lives Matter” movement, not a fad, shouted out a girl, received a bottle of water, attended a John Legend concert.
Her hashtag “#SandySpeaks” hashtag, gave a monologue about police brutality, the plight of African Americans, all of us. We are her. She was us, if only her story had ended differently. Our story will end differently.
