Haiku by Paweł Markiewicz

Haiku by Paweł Markiewicz

My rules to construct haiku:

I. The first verse is always natural. This is an image of the world you are currently seeing.

II. The second verse: It is advisable that you create a comparison to the first (for example, in    the 1st verse: night, in the second: day). Furthermore, this verse should have person-relation and special verbs:

a) of sense – as hear, see, speak

b) of mind – think, remember, philosophize

c) verbs with things – write (with pen), draw, paint (with colors)

III. The third verse: includes addition, consequence, turn, conclusion or generalization (or many more possibilities) with respect to the two verses.

Example:

snowy night and ice
I create a poem about summer
time before stars
