Don't by Lorraine Walker

DON’T

Approach

Like you walk down a dark alley.

Look

Like you stare at your watch.

Touch

Like a child touches an unfamiliar face.

Hold

Like a possession you love.

Know

Like you know the back of your hand.

Move

Like the wind before a bad storm

And love

Like an adopted child to whom the truth is told
