Sweet Redress
by Neil Chatterton
Happiness
Lost and Found.
As I lookout
Searching
Squinting
As the Sun
Pierces my Soul.
Never ordained
Or promised
Yet overtly
Desired.
A wish for everyone
Each night
Ritual repeated
As the darkness
Descends and
Envelops.
Rocking gently
Into the underworld
Of sleep and dreams.

My favorite lines. I felt this one and the happiness lost and found. Or is it found then lost? Either way, it moved me!

Sounds like a man who knows the pain of too much caring; too much giving and understanding. Sleep brings a brief respite until morning, when it all starts over again. Makes me sad for some reason. Very beautiful and poignant.
