Okras~ by Willow

Okras~ by Willow

I sits here and wonders
’bout questions to God
Like why he made okra so slimy
and why avocadoes gots seeds.
I guess those is my vegetable questions.

Then I sits here and wonders
why I just sits here and wonders
and why I isn’t out lookin…
So I looks .
So I sees.

I sees trees.
I sees trees which is pretty bright green,
and trees which is all dead and twisted
with white and light yellow blue lace.
I sees things like patterns
in all stuffs around me,
Like which things is lopsided
and which things isn’t shaded right
and sometimes little tiny things which is perfect
but most the time
nobody notices.

Then I gives up for a while
and goes to look for
sumthin to eat.

But not okras.

    • Thank you, Ron! It was fun trying to write as a different person with a different tone. I must admit I was not exactly clear on ocher other than knowing it was a color. I can see why you don’t care for it; neither do I! Though my dictionary is in three portions I was able to discover it is a pale yellow brownish color. Quite different from the vibrant green veggies so delicious when fried!

    • Aren’t you lucky! How do you like them, fried or ? I don’t know; a confession I must make is I love them fried and am not computer savvy! What a juxtaposition! Savirag, I am looking forward to becoming more computer savvy,; Jessica is coaching me and I am looking forward to reading your posts, more of them, and having solid feedback which we, as creative souls, share the need for no matter our medium! Love and Light, Willow

    • Thank you for reading and commenting, pamanner. I don’t know if you have ever had freshly fried okra but it is the best! Somehow though, there’s always this tiny little bit that ends up in the back of the freezer for years and just can’t get thrown away because maybe…just maybe…until they actually fuse into one with the freezer. Some kind of weird alchemy, I guess!! Love, willow
