bn~ Peu Verset (Little Verse) Submit your Peu Verset for Publication!
There are many types of categorized forms of poetry and prose, but there are always a few that seem to fall between the cracks, and smaller they are, the easier they hide. In poetry, we see short form works that are bound by rules of meter and syllable count, like haiku and tanka, and these are fine explorations of very particular kinds of expression, where form is of equal importance to the content delivered. This is not to say that there is no place for economy in verse where the restrictions on form do not color the meaning or reduce the power of the content. These little bursts of expression can have power that far outstrips their brevity, and some very elegant constructs can be seen in these word-seedlings. BlogNostics now has a new submissions category to honor these efforts that some call micropoetry: Peu Verset or “little verse”. Peu Verset has very few rules other than the rule of brevity.
