Wolf Heart, Hooves Electric by e.a. toles

thrush beat heart,
do not deny your cage.

romantic sentimantia-
clicking of tongues.

november will always
be Hers’

or any month
or any season.

it is not good
for men of my quality.

we are mistakes in wait,
such as the scathing werewolf.

in the fertile fields

hooves still
beating grass

fluxing memories,
snap your fingers,

crackle of static,
clouds brimming above,

swollen and silent-
ghoulish haunt of flesh.
