Why are they Auctioning Nector?
Two pioneering, innovative, modern female artists of the 21st Century, Lisa Brandel and Kuuipo “Ipo” Cullen have come together and decided that they are going to pay it forward. Yes I said pay it forward. They are sponsoring an art auction on eBay to raise funds for none other than, us BlogNostics. Why? Because they can!
No, really they have decided to help raise funds to benefit BlogNostics in an effort to afford us the ability to continue to give you the very best in promoting the artistic community we are building around us.
Who is Auctioning Nector?
Kuuipo “Ipo” Cullen is a Hawaiian expatriate, living in Ohio. Coming from the ‘Aloha State’ she had a beautiful start in learning her craft photographing the nature around her. Not to mention being able to learn from Patrick Ching, one of the greatest contemporary Hawaiian native artists.
Lisa Brandel is transitioning from strictly art and the human condition to new surrealistic techniques, and expanding her portfolio with a broader range of painting styles. Not to mention~ she’s a Love.
What are the two doing together?
Lisa Brandel and Kuuipo “Ipo” Cullen are choreographed light painters and photographers.
Each Light Art Photography is choreographed in the dark, countless hours of preparation is put into each and every image created.
On occasion both Lisa and Ipo work in tandem to produce their remarkable imagery. They use different light tools and timed choreographed movement in complete darkness to capture just the right image. Each movement is carefully timed from beginning to end in sequence to the camera’s shutter speed, if the movements are off it is back to square one.
Together they are creating what can only be described as creative, outstanding and soon to be valuable works of imagery and paintings.

As well as our friend Nector being auctioned there are other delectables up for grabs. Firstly by our Lovely Ladies of Two Artists, One Journey a print from their ‘light painting session’ titled Heart in Light.

Also on Auction are Two Prints for one price! Titled, 7 Arches and The Outhouse respectively, they are pencil drawings that are digitally printed, mounted on foam-core and UV coated. Kindly donated by another artist of many mediums Ron Reed.
That’s Not All?
A small portion of the funds received from the purchase of Nector will be donated to a charity of your choice in your name by Lisa Brandel, of light 2 dark art studio and Kuuipo Cullen, of Mystic Journey Photography (of Ohio). So go already!
