The Blue I Can See~
I cast a downward glance, and I saw her blue toenails.
Instantly I was taken to the ocean—wide, blue, and vast.
My spirit longs to travel across the distant sea.
I looked again, and she was gone.
I cast another downward glance, and I saw her blue toenails.
I was then taken across the sky—the wild blue yonder.
My spirit yearns to fly across the blue horizon.
I looked again, and she was gone.
I cast another glance downward, and she was wearing sneakers.
But at least they were blue sneakers!
